Cross-border cooperation will be the theme of Operation Pirkanmaa’s open call for project proposals – a total of 100,000 euros at maximum will be distributed to the Region’s cultural operators

5.5.2023 Operation Pirkanmaa, the regional development project in the field of culture, is launching an open call for proposals with the theme of cross-border cooperation. In 2023, cultural projects in the Pirkanmaa Region will be granted funds totalling 100,000 euros at maximum. The call for proposals is now open and will close on 4 June.

The third round of applications for the Meanwhile Use Scheme: in addition to locations in Tampere, new premises available from the City of Nokia as well.

24.4.2023 The third round of applications is now open for the Meanwhile Use Scheme. The experts of the cultural services and city real estate management have again selected vacant spaces suitable for cultural use. This time, cultural operators can apply for two sites in Nokia in addition to the four temporarily vacant spaces in Tampere. Selected applicants will be able to use the nominated space rent-free for a fixed period of time.

23.9.2022 Operation Pirkanmaa, the legacy project of the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) bid, has supported more than one hundred projects during the course of 2022, including a series of Cultural Happenings to take place across the Tampere Region (a.k.a. Pirkanmaa) during the autumn. The second programme release based on the ECoC bid mainly focuses on the 2023–2024 period, drawing attention both to local players and European interactions.
